Building a product is easy. Distribution is the hard part.

As developers, we often forget that building a new product is relatively easy.

Okay, it can get a bit complex. But it depends only on us, and we know we can get there.

What is genuinely hard: distribution

  • Getting known
  • Selling
  • Onboarding customers
  • Convincing them to stay
  • Doing it all again

None of it depends on us. Sometimes it feels like moving backwards, and weeks can go by without a single result.

My advice to any slightly technical founder

  1. Vibe-code an MVP.
  2. Find customers who are genuinely interested.
  3. Have a professional developer check your product to polish and secure it. At this stage it should still be simple: one to two weeks at the very most.
  4. Go back to distributing and selling, 100% focus.
  5. If the commercial results come in, ask your developer for a few adjustments or new features.
  6. And so on.

Your commercial success will come from distribution. Not from ten more features with no users.

Good luck to the founders out there!
